Polar Express

In November and December, the Dartmoor Railway's lessee, British American Railway Services (BARS), operates themed trains inspired by The Polar Express, the hit Warner Bros movie starring Tom Hanks and based on the award winning book by Chris Van Allsburg. Thousands of children are brought to the railway from far and wide to enjoy the PE trains. Although the Polar Express is a BARS commercial initiative, some DRSA volunteers get involved with the preparation for and operation of the service.
